Elevatione by Salvador Dali Launch Party

Last Thursday, 22 January 2015, I was lucky enough to be a part of the Elevatione by Salvador Dali launch party. It was by far the most artistically influenced and avant garde launch party that I have been to. There were a few familiar faces of influential people from social media and print media alike and I regret not taking more pictures with the guests as I was too preoccupied with taking pictures of the event, the models, the art and food!

Elevatione is a new skincare concept that opened its doors to us at the end of 2014 with their outlet at Mandarin Gallery being its first ever store worldwide and its flagship store in Singapore. Soon after, they opened a store in Hong Kong at D'Aguilar Street near Lan Kwai Fong and in London on Regent Street at Liberty House. With such premium locations and products to match, Elevatione sets out to be the next big thing in skincare.

The event was elegantly done with beautiful art pieces from Red Sea Gallery and Art Exchange which included a modern interpretation of Dali doing the Gangnam Style. My favorite however was the original bronze sculpture of the melting clock on the branch "Profile of Time" of which there are only 350 pieces worldwide.

To entertain the guests, they had unlimited trays of Bottega bubbly making its round as well as delicious canapes from Amici, the Chicken Rice balls were too die for! I was thoroughly taken in by their Dali inspired cupcakes too!

However, what caught my eyes from the moment I arrived were the lovely models in the window donning Dali-esque moustaches and stunning head pieces by Fibi Bespoke and dresses by Gnossem! Of course being a shoe person, who could miss the blinged out boots and studded pumps that the models were wearing from Kandee.

As I made my way round the store, I definitely had many "Ooh and Aah" moments! They had a contact juggler with his magical crystal ball, a barber from Sultan of Shave who would style your moustache (if you pleased) and not forgetting the knowledgeable staff who were more than happy to impart their knowledge of Elevatione skincare with the guests.

To be in attendance was an honor in itself but what really made my day was the amazing goodie bag! It is by far the most generous goodie bag I have ever received with a full size facial serum, body scrub and body lotion! Among other things included was a brochure with some samples, a voucher for a free Marcha Ballerina and a complimentary facial voucher. Elevatione is spoiling me rotten! I can't wait to try the products!

Well, don't take my word for it...make your way down to the store and even if you think you don't need any skincare, the store itself is impressive enough to warrant a visit!

Congratulations again on the launch of Elevatione!

  1. hi vanessa, just wondering if you had any reviews on the elevatione products? my mum was interested in the lifting one, but was hesitant to buy it as it seems to contain very strong ingredients, so i want to help her do a bit of research. any thoughts/recommendations on these products? thanks! K

  2. Hi K,

I love that you are doing research for your mum! My mum always gets a fair share of my goodies and secrets too!

I believe Elevatione has 2 items in the lifting range but I wasn't sure which you were referring to so I'll just give a brief review on both.

The lifting serum was part of our goodie bag for the event and I have enjoyed the use of it. It actually goes on like water! And it smells like argan oil which is the 4th ingredient on the list. Despite having 3 different oils in the top 10 ingredients, it applies not greasy and leaves your skin feeling silky. I didn't care too much for the initial smell but that goes away almost as soon as the product is absorbed and settles to a subtle scent.

The 60 second firmax ($2200) is another lifting product which like it's namesake, starts to take effect in a mere minute! I am able to see an immediate smoothing of my skin and my fine lines are less prominent.

Both products contains hibiscus and raspberry extract said to firm and lift skin. As you mentioned, the other products are rather "strong" but I did not have any adverse reaction to either.

In the end, my skin is different from your mum and I really recommend that she tries the products herself. The great thing about purchasing from boutique stores like Elevatione is the personalized and informative service you can get. If she has any skin allergies, I suggest she highlight to the skin specialist. If not, do a patch test and return the day after.

Good luck! And I hope you and your mum find something!

    Xoxo, Ness

  3. Vanessa Jerah works for Elevatione so her review is totally biased. I know this for a fact as Vanessa Jerah is dealing with my complaint after I bought over $10k of products which caused an allergic reaction making my eyes puffy and skin became dry. Elevatione is refusing to refund stating I signed my rights away when I purchased the goods. I will be reporting this to the consumer council to investigate into their products and claims

    1. Dear Alison, I am proud to say that I work for Elevatione and it's never been a secret. I however, am one of their happier consumers. While I was happy to entertain your feedback/complaint professionally, I do not appreciate your PERSONAL attacks on MY PRIVATE blog post. The fact that you did so speaks volumes about the kind of person you are. In the end, I don't know what kind of results you expect from this as I am not the decision maker, merely a worker.
Please report it to the consumer council but seriously don't attack me here- its seriously below the belt and petty.

    2. Wow. Sorry to hear you had that experience, Alison. I went to their shops the other day and I noticed quite quickly how it is not like other salons. I had to wait half an hour for my appointment and then i was in there for an additional 2 hours. Most of that was a sales pitch to pay thousands for their programme. I have to say the products seem really good and the treatment itself was good. But the way they were particularly forcing me to sign a contract when I was not in the mind to do so felt very aggressive that i almost cried! They would say they are not forcing but they have great products, so why wouldn't people want to make use of them. But then they act quite nasty and fake. In my eyes, this is not an honest company with good customer services, as your experience seems to bear out too. I mean it makes me doubt if the products they rave about are actually organic or if they secretly put loads of chemicals in them. After all, if they are dishonest about their means, who knows where it will stop? It is a shame that a salon that purports itself to be so good needs to throw itself at customers (often low-income, vulnerable customers who want a better life) in an aggressive way and then treats customers who are real people and want to think things through before using products, as dirt if they refuse to sign up on the spot! Reminds me of narcissist, good-looking, rich guys who take advantage of you with their charm and throw you back if you have the temerity to say what you think! Scary. The above person's response to you reflects that too it seems. Even though I liked the facial and the products I am not going back because of the aggressive attitude and feeling like i was in prison for 2 hours with loads of fake PR being spoken at me. Lord help us all.
